The innovation regards wide area application of pheromones formulated in single-point, non-retrievable,
biodegradable polymeric matrices from a UAV mounted, multi cartridge apparatus, implementing precision
agriculture practices
“Pheromone formulations in biodegradable matrices are applied by a mechanical apparatus mounted on UAVs.
Resulting environmentally sound biopolymer blobs are not sprayed but dropped directly on the crop by a GIS
guided system. Drones are best suited for medium to large fields and operating close to habitable areas where
spays, light aircraft and helicopter use are not acceptable. This precise, time-efficient, economically sound
technology targets food sustainability while respecting biodiversity.”
